How to Register Your Team
Please follow these steps to ensure you are properly registered and that you do not miss out on reserving your spot for an exciting robotics competition season. There is much more demand than we can serve this season so please help us to help you and your team.
That is how simple it is this season. Please note, that you will receive an invoice from FIRST in Texas Foundation (non profit) for your state level fees and not from FIRST RGV, INC. You are required to be in paid status for both US FIRST and FIRST RGV (change from FIRST in Texas) before you will be allowed to compete locally / regionally.

As teams register, the graph will update to show the total number of teams, organized by program. Once the registration numbers are achieved, we will go into a waitlist registration process.

I had a team last year, do I need to register a new number?
A – If you have at least 40% of the same members, keep the number and renew your registration. If you have less than that, create a new team. Either way, it is up to you, but there is something to be said for having the same number year over year.
What are the deadlines for registration and payments?
A – We will close registration as soon as we hit the total number of teams per program. (Refer to Notice to All – 050118) Payment deadlines are posted on this page. Failure to pay on time, will forfeit your reservation. No payments are due until after August 1, 2018. You can pay early, but that is up to your school district / organization.
Last year, we had an event every weekend… We doing that again?
A – We understand and appreciate the strain that last years robotics season put on all of you. This is why we are doing things differently this year so we can plan the season while you and the students are out for the summer. Do expect scrimmages (practices) to start early October, 2018 with the competition to start immediately following.
I had a team last year… do I need to register this season?
A – We appreciate all of our teams in all of our programs. We are expecting far more teams than we can handle this season. With that in mind, it is first come, first served. Register early (NOW) to secure your slots. Once the slots are full, we will operate a waitlist and fill slots based on position on the waitlist.

* Purchase Orders or payments must be shown as PAID in the US FIRST website dashboard and you must have had paid or issued a purchase order to FIRST RGV for the state / local fees before this date. Failure to do so will forfeit your teams slot to the next team in line on the waitlist.
